Bauer House, located in Quincy, Massachusetts was dedicated on Septemebr 22, 1996 and was named for the Reverend Frank Jospeh Bauer and Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Bauer. The vision and efforts of the Bauers lead to the founding of the three housing projects sponsored by Wollaston Lutheran Church. They are Fenno House, Town Brook House and Bauer House which combined total over 375 units.
Bauer House, a residence for seniors 62+ and the handicapped, this equal opportunity housing, subsidized by the Section 8 Housing Assistance Program consists of 74 one-bedroom units with a common lounge area, a common activities area and kitchen. Bauer House was constructed under a grant from the PRAC 202 program of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development. Wollaston Lutheran Church sponsored Bauer House as part of its mission to provide safe, dignified and affordable housing to seniors. We are pleased to provide equal housing opportunities for all qualified applicants and residents. We strive to maintain our facilities in excellent condition so that our residents will take pride in their homes. In addition to a very affordable rent structure based on a resident's income, Bauer House offers amenities such as an on-site superintendent, overnight security guard, 24 hour video security surveillance, on-site social service coordinator and common area computer internet access through HUD's Neigborhood Networks computer program.
